New Years is a one minute holiday. However, any excuse for champagne is a good evening. Add “naked” in there, and it’s even more fun.

I officially hate New Years. It never turns out the way you want it to and then you spend the whole next day miserable and recovering. Next year I am staying home in my pajamas with a stack of movies.

Good company is all you can really ever ask for.

I get where you’re coming from with the pressure thing- I feel that exact same way on Valentines day. Theres just something about being in a huge crowd, watching fireworks, staying up late and drinking with friends that makes me think New Years is pretty much awesome.

It was a mellow night, but a nice one. The guy and I are always in different cities, so this was the first time we got to ring in the new year together. It was nice!

It was even better. I expected it to be uncomfortable because I was going to basically a family NYE party- but it was the best time! And in the end- I was welcomed with open arms and am invited to vacation with them in Mexico in March.

Yes and no. There were some snafus that could have been better handled, rather than recalling bad memories of an ex. But it’s hard not to enjoy being in the presence of a bunch of guys who are silly, drunk, high, and totally funny. Watching cartoons and the Twilight Zone and Monty Python helps. (In case anyone was wondering, my X chromosome sometimes gets swapped out for a Y.)

im so with you on new years just not being my thing. way too much pressure for it to be some huge, amazing, wonderful thing.
my new years was good, but a snow storm but a wrench into the plans. oh well. bring on 09 baby!

I spent my New Years evening with a few of my very best friends, watching tv, and just laughing and talking. Oh, and drinking wine. My liver hates me at the moment, but it was a fabulous night!

I laughed and hung out with friends so in that respect, it did. But I also came to some hard conclusions about what is next for me and while there is a sense of relief in it, there is also sadness.
